PROTEAS WOMEN AND THEIR SCHOOLS

The alma maters of four Proteas Women stars, namely Anneke Bosch, Tazmin Brits, Sinalo Jafta and Eliz-Mari Marx all took part in the second edition of Schools SA20.

In the end Jafta and Marx can say "honours even", as Stirling High School (Jafta) and Hoërskool Zwartkop (Marx) won the Border and Titans Phase 1 titles respectively but did not progress past Phase 2. Jafta and Bosch, though, would have been on tenterhooks on 13 October 2025 when their alma maters met to determine East London's top girls team, which Stirling claimed via a 67-run victory over Hoërskool Ooskus Gimnasium (formerly Hoërskool Grens as Bosch knew it).

Hoërskool Klerksdorp (Brits), meanwhile, were no match for overall Volume 2 runners-up, Saints Christian School, who dominated in during Phase 1 in North West.
