Broadcast live on DStv Channel 216 and live-streamed on the SuperSport Schools App, the Round 1 encounter provided top‑flight exposure for the young talents, some of whom seized the opportunity. Stellenberg posted a commanding total of 175/1 in their 20 overs, with their captain and opening batter Nakeeta Collins carrying her bat in scoring 74 off 63 balls, including six 4s. Collins was ably supported by Hannah Constable (26 off 32) and Chloe De Roubaix whose 53 off 30 balls (6x4) was an excellent knock.

Best of the Langa bowlers was second-change bowler Oyintando Tiso (1/17), who not only claimed the only wicket to fall -bowling Constable - but maintained a miserly economy rate of 5.7 in her three overs.

During their turn to bat Langa Hub struggled against tight bowling and sharp fielding on the day. Only opener Akhona Mahlanza (21 off 33 balls) and Asonge Lindani (12 off 11) managed to score double-figures as Collins capped off an incredible afternoon with figures of 3/2 off three overs and Langa were bowled out for 62. Stellenberg thus advance confidently to the next round - courtesy a 113-run victory - with the leader marking herself out as a player to watch as the competition unfolds.
