DUAL DREAMS: FOUR TEAMS QUALIFY BOTH BOYS AND GIRLS FOR PHASE 2
As the field narrows ahead of the regional Phase 2 tournaments in Switch Schools SA20 Volume 2, only four schools and hubs from across the country can proudly claim a remarkable feat - both their boys’ and girls’ teams have earned a spot in Phase 2.

The only school from last year’s elite company to repeat the double is Middelburg Hoërskool. Their boys’ team returns to Phase 2 hoping to improve on last year’s campaign, but face a tough task against Central Gauteng Lions powerhouses King Edward VII School (KES) and Jeppe High School for Boys. Meanwhile, the Middies girls’ side face a more direct challenge, with a high-stakes battle against Queens High School to secure a ticket to the national finals. Their matches will unfold at St David’s Marist Inanda.

This year, they’ll travel to Stellenbosch for the Western Cape regional showdown, away from their familiar home turf, seeking to continue their remarkable development story as a community-based cricket hub.
