TITANS BOYS FINALS DAY SET FOR A BLOCKBUSTER SHOWDOWN UNDER LIGHTS AT CORNWALL HILL COLLEGE

The Switch Schools SA20 excitement continues to build as the Titans Phase 1 Boys Finals Day promises a thrilling day of cricket on Monday, 3 November 2025.

With two semifinals and a highly anticipated floodlit final, all eyes will be on Cornwall Hill College, which plays host to this prestigious culmination of the province’s opening phase.

The Van der Byl Field, Cornwall Hill’s flagship cricket oval, will be the showpiece for the grand finale set for 18:00 under lights, a fitting stage for a competition that has rapidly become a cornerstone of schoolboy cricket in South Africa.

Both Titans Volume 1 finalists - Afrikaanse Hoër Seunsskool (Affies) and Hoërskool Garsfontein - have returned to the semifinals, underlining their status as powerhouse cricket schools. Affies will battle hosts Cornwall Hill College in Semifinal 1 at 14:30 on their home ground, making it a true test of nerve and form for both sides.

| DID YOU KNOW? The Van Der Byl Field is named after the family who donated some of the land for the building of Cornwall Hill College in the mid-1990s.

Semifinal 2, also starting at 14:30, will pit Midstream College against Garsies, who featured in the inaugural national finals, at the Parke De Terrace Field - creating a Centurion vs Pretoria rivalry theme across both semifinals, a tantalising subplot for fans of local schoolboy cricket.

With history, pride, and coveted places in Phase 2 at stake for the finalist, the Titans Finals Day action promises high drama, individual brilliance, and unforgettable team moments.
