The battle for Batter of the Tournament has high stakes. In the boys' division, Jeppe’s Vegas Scott sits on a comfortable 118 runs. However, St Andrew’s' star FG Botha (72 runs) is within striking distance. A big half-century in the Final could see Botha snatch the crown at the death.

On the bowling front, Selborne’s Avethandwa Manyonga faces a nervous wait on the stands surrounding Tuks Oval. With 9 wickets in the bag, the right-arm quick might be watching the Final through his fingers as St Andrew's semifinal hero Erhard Barends (8 wickets) and the Jeppe duo Zizi Mkhize (7 wickets), and Goolam Ahmed (6 wickets) all look to hunt him down. Double trouble in the girls’ division

The girls' division is the Tshepiso Motswi show - for now. The Nkowankowa Hub standout has hit 58 runs and taken 6 wickets, but the Saints Christian School vs Queens High School final looms large. Saints captain Reabetswe Dithipe is the primary threat; she'll need the week's second best individual score (33 runs) to to overhaul Motswi’s run tally, but with 5 wickets already, she and teammate Diarabilwe Ngubeni are arguably favourites to leapfrog Motswi for the Bowler of the Tournament honors.

Beyond the stats, a select Switch Schools SA20 panel is watching closely for the two biggest honours: The Spirit of Cricket Award and the Switch Player of the Tournament.

The Spirit award isn't about the scoreboard; it’s about the gees.
